AVA Capital Plc formally listed on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Friday, July 31, 2026, by way of Listing by Introduction.
An analysis of the company's ownership structure reveals that 80 percent of its listed shares remain consolidated in the hands of two primary investors: Prosperis Holding Company Limited holds 3.846 billion shares or 76.9 percent, while Simple Business Combinations Limited holds 153.112 million units or 3.1 percent.
The remaining 1 billion shares, or 20 percent, are held by other investors. With this free float, AVA Capital satisfies the NGX free-float requirement.
The 5 billion ordinary shares of AVA Capital Plc were listed at N7.50 per share. After listing, the stock closed Friday at N8.25, and in early trading on Monday, August 3, the share price rose to N9.05.
Prosperis Holdings is a privately held Nigerian principal investment and infrastructure holding firm led by Kayode Fadahunsi, Co-Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
While the listing establishes a public valuation and enhances regulatory transparency, the heavy concentration introduces market dynamics that balance tight strategic backing against potential liquidity considerations as trading commences.
